At Sorce Martial Arts, we believe something much simpler and much more important:

Everyone should know the basics of self-defense.

Violence Doesn’t Ask Permission

Danger doesn’t wait until you feel ready. It doesn’t care about your age, your size, or your experience level.

Most people go their entire lives without needing to physically defend themselves—and that’s a good thing.

But if that moment ever does come, those few seconds matter. In those moments, you won’t rise to the occasion. You’ll fall to the level of your training.

Self-Defense Is Not Just Fighting

When people hear “self-defense,” they often picture punches, kicks, and takedowns. But that is only part of the picture.

Real self-defense starts before anything physical happens. It includes awareness, confidence, decision-making, and knowing how to avoid danger before it escalates.

What We Teach

At Sorce Martial Arts, our training gives students practical tools from multiple disciplines:

Taekwondo — Distance, movement, timing, and control
Inayan Eskrima — Awareness, weapon understanding, and reaction under pressure
Danzan Ryu Jujitsu — Close-range control, grappling, and what happens when a fight gets close

Real situations do not follow rules, and your training should prepare you for more than one range or one type of threat.
