Who we Are And why You Should Train Here

Since we’ve opened, we’ve been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through martial arts, education and coaching. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all students and family members in . We take pride in creating an environment for individuals to achieve, develop and succeed in their personal goals.

We strongly believe that martial arts can be for everyone, regardless of age, gender or experience levels. Throughout all of our programs, students will not only learn the necessary skill sets to protect themselves, we stand behind our realistic and practical approach, confident it will enable every member to achieve greatness and live their best life..

Mr. Sorce has been sharing his art with people of all ages throughout the community for over 15 years. He has taught a wide variety of adult martial art and personal protection classes at the Cudahy & South Milwaukee Recreation departments, GE Medical Systems, & D. A. Yun’s Black Belt Academy. He has coordinated & performed demonstrations for the South Milwaukee Heritage Days, Asian Moon Festival, Cudahy’s 4th of July Celebration, and Summerfest.

Mr. Sorce has taught youth self-defense and martial art programs at the South Milwaukee Recreation Department, Lakeview School’s CLC Program, & Lincoln Elementary School. In addition to being a martial arts instructor, Mr. Sorce has his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for 6 years for GE Medical Systems.

The 6,000 square-foot custom-built space is housed in an “historic” building in downtown South Milwaukee. The interior space was completely renovated to model the quality of our programs and be a special place for martial artists and their families. The look and feel of the space is natural, contemporary and open. It features:

  • 1,100 sq ft. training room and viewing area (Studio B)

Larry Simons

Head Instructor

Mr. Simons brings a tremendous enthusiasm for teaching martial arts into the school. He is a great communicator, and emphasizes the development of character and discipline in our youth students. Mr. Simons also provides the patience, encouragement and attention to detail that adult students are looking for. Mr. Simons teaches all 3 arts that Sorce Martial Arts Offers.

KC is the first face you will see when you walk in the door. KC takes care of everything off of the mat including memberships, and organizing after school programs, testing and more! She is also an assistant instructor for our weekday morning classes.

Mike Thomas

Martial Arts Instructor

With a career of nearly 25 years, Mike Thomas’s passion for martial arts continues to grow. Originally trained by Sensei Leland Roth in judo at the Wisconsin Judo Club where he holds black belt rank and is active as a teaching assistant, his repertoire has expanded over the succeeding years to include black belt rank in jujitsu as well as black sash 3rd Level student in Inayan Escrima. In the hours between classes, he is avidly training in Tomiki aikido as and advanced student.

Rob Koltz

Martial Arts Instructor

Robert Koltz is a dedicated and highly motivated martial artist. One of our “Dojang Animals”, he trains and instructs in traditional Taekwon-do, Inayan System of Eskrima, and Danzan Ryu Jujitsu. Mr. Koltz brings an enthusiasm and attention to detail that make him an outstanding role model for adult and youth students alike.
